چکیده
Objective: To assess and correlate overall quality of life the cognitive function adult patients with hematologic cancer subjected to autologous allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantations up three years after treatment. Materials method: A longitudinal, observational, analytical study was conducted 55 in a reference hospital Latin America, from September 2013 February 2019, Quality Life Questionnaire-Core 30, analyzed Spearman’s correlation coefficient Generalized Linear Mixed Model tests. Results: Overall presented decline pancytopenia phase (59.3 55.3, respectively). There impairment group post-transplantation two (61.90) and, (74), pancytopenia. In group, positive (0.76) significant (p < 0.04) is observed between domain years. there (0.55) 0.00) 180 days transplantation. Conclusions: present transplantation for both groups: allogeneic.

The introduction and evolution of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) could be traced back to 1950s, to the studies on interactions among irradiation, covering spleen and bone marrow from it and injection of bone marrow cells. Today, HSCT is considered a well-established, effective and promising means of therapy for various malignant and non-malignant medical conditions, both in chil...
متن کاملSexuality and Quality of Life after Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
BACKGROUND The quality of sexuality is significantly affected by physical changes following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and the dissatisfied and/or dysfunctional sexuality may cause deterioration in the quality of life (QOL). METHODS With two models of questionnaires, we interviewed thirty-eight patients who remained in the disease-free status after HSCT and had sex partner...
متن کاملHematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for Thalassemia
Thalassemia is an autosomal recessive disorder associated with defective synthesis of the α- or β-chain of hemoglobin. For β-thalassemia major patients, therapeutic options are either monthly red cell transfusions and chelation therapy or allogeneic stem cell transplant. Stem cell transplant is the only curative approach and success is inversely correlated with the degree of iron overload and h...
